From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After landing and decelerating to less than 80 knots a deer suddenly appeared in the pilots field of view from the left. The deer crossed left to right in front of the aircaft but disappeared quickly from view. There was no indication of contact with the deer during the sighting. No sound or vibration within the aircraft to indicate contact with the animal. It was discovered however upon inspection that the deer had in fact been struck by the right hand flap trailing edge, damage to the flap necessitated repair and inspection of the aircraft.
