From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot reported reducing throttle to configure for landing while in left downwind leg for runway 25 kajo, and then not being able to effect increased engine power with numerous throttle inputs thereafter. The pilot stated that he was unable to cover the distance remaining to the runway in the aircraft's unpowered state, and elected to conduct an emergency landing on the 91 freeway eastbound. The aircraft landed in lanes in a proponderance of automobile traffic, struck its right wing on another vehicle, caught fire, struck it's left wingtip, spun to the right, impacted a wall, and came to rest facing the opposite direction on the right shoulder of the freeway. The pilot and passenger evacuated the burning aircraft and reported no injuries.

As the FAA filed it
