From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

privacy data omitted Was on approach to runway 16 at Fort Worth meacham international airport (kfws) and during touch down phase of flight, aircraft landed at the beginning of runway 16 on edge of blast pad as evidenced by tire marks on the runway and edge of blast pad. Approximately 250 feet after initial touchdown, a small piece of riveted metal was found on the runway along with pieces of rubber from a tire. Small slivers of rubber and small pieces of riveted sheet metal continued down the runway. A single tire mark begin to appear approximately 1,300 feet after initial touchdown indicating the left main tire was dragging. The tire marks are along the same path as impact marks from the left propeller which appears to impact the runway beginning approximately 1,500 feet from initial touchdown. Aircraft impacted airport signage on the east side of runway 16 approximately 2,700 feet after initial touchdown. A taxiway sign for taxiway A3 was impacted and destroyed with what appears was the left wing. Several taxiway lights were impacted along the path the aircraft traveled. Aircraft came to rest facing east on the west edge of taxiway a immediately south of taxiway A3 approximately 3,700 feet from initial touchdown. Aircraft sustained minor damage. The left main gear assembly was extended toward the aft of the aircraft with the wheel protruding from the rear cowling of the left engine nacelle. Left main gear doors were damaged and hinges were separated from the left nacelle due to skid damage. Left main gear doors remained attached to aircraft by connecting rods. Oil, from the left engine and propeller areas, and hydraulic fluid from the left brake, were present on the taxiway where the aircraft came to rest. Aircraft was not safe enough to check fuel levels or interior controls at the scene. Left propeller showed impact damage on all three blade tips, left wing tip fuel tank had impact damage on the front side and skid damage on the trailing edge. Lower left aft side of fuselage sustained skid damage. Verified flight control continuity after aircraft was secured on jacks.
