From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot completed run up checklist and powered up airspeed to 58 knots but needed 67 KIAS. Pilot aborted takeoff, pulled back throttles and started braking. When he came to the end of the runway, he turned aircraft to the right and ran into the curb causing the prop to strike the ground and the nose gear to collapse. Pilot stated the brakes on the Mooney M20K are not that good. He ran out of runway and went towards the grass but, the nose gear impacted the cement curb at the edge of the runway, causing the nose gear to pop out.
