From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On the morning of November 14, 2022, a 1958 Cessna 175, took off from runway 03 at Kingman Airport (kigm) at approximately 9:31 am local time. The pilots intention was to stay in the vicinity of the airport and make several practice takeoffs and landings. Following take off, the pilot flew a standard left-hand pattern for runway 03 intending to make a stop and go landing. Following touch down and the first part of the ground roll, the pilot used rudder and braking to maintain directional control of the aircraft. Unfortunately, he applied excessive braking to maintain directional control and the aircraft nosed over on the runway coming to rest on the propeller spinner at approximately 9:37 am. The pilot subsequently opened the master switch and closed the main fuel valve before exiting the aircraft. Neither the pilot nor any other persons suffered any injuries. The only damage associated with the event was to the aircraft. The aircraft was righted and towed to a hangar at the Kingman Airport.

As the FAA filed it
