From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

privacy data omitted Was conducting a touch and go on runway 34L at hef. After landing the pilot attempted to retract the flaps for take-off when the airplane became unstable and veered left towards the grass. The pilot added abrupt right rudder while also applying the brakes, and the aircraft started to skid sideways towards the grass. The left main gear entered the grass and the added friction of the grass combined with the brakes and continued right rudder input caused the aircraft to tip to the left and strike the left wing and propeller on the ground. The aircraft eventually came to a stop while upright. The wingtip damage was minor and there were no inuries.
