From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft initially took off from ktta.

Pilot, during landing at ksop, went to put landing gear down, however the landing gear motor circuit breaker popped and the pilot smelled electrical smoke.

Pilot began emergency procedures and attempted to deploy gear using manual gear crank, but manual crank was immobile. Pilot then flew to ktta and spoke with several ground personnel but again could not get gear down. Pilot's wife attempted to get gear down, but landing gear manual crank broke off.

As kpgv has a long runway and emergency facilities, pilot elected that airport as landing place where he would perform a gear up landing and performed emergency landing checklist.

Pilot performed gear up landing at pgv. No injuries in the aircraft or on the ground.
