From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated he flew several standard pattern entries with normal landings at 3 different airports with no issues, upon returning to edf, before landing checklist and verbal cgumps were completed on extended base and final legs. Pilot stabilized approach and configured aircraft for full stop landing. Upon touchdown on centerline, there was a loud noise and the aircraft settled to the runway surface and skidded to a stop. Tower was notified about smoke in the cockpit, emergency vehicles responded. Systems all shut down, exiting the aircraft gear handle was confirmed in the down position.
