From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This was a part 91 training flight for privacy data omitted. During the departure roll from Tuluksak Airport Alaska the instructor who was flying stated that he experienced a loss of control due to the icy runway conditions. The instructor pilot pulled the power and mixture while attempting to keep the aircraft on the runway. The left main gear caught a snow berm which quickly turned the plane 90 degress to the left. The momentum caused the plane to tip, causing a prop strike and damage to the right wing tip. The front fork was also bent.

The NTSB was notified and the aircraft was released back to the company as an incident. An asap report was filed by the pilot and accepted by the erc.
