From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On February 26, 2023 at approximately 0915 local time, the pilot of a cub crafters carbon cub experienced a ground loop while landing at Erie, CO. The pilot had flown in from fort collins, CO and was attempting to land on runway 34. Pilot stated winds were not a factor. The pilot proceeded to perform a wheel landing and experienced a slight bounce followed by a "veer to the right". Pilot corrected with left rudder input but the aircraft "kept going to the left". Aircraft ended up off the left side of the runway in the grass. The pilot (sole occupant) was not injured.
