From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was conducting flight instruction and student was performing takeoffs and landings at kalaeloa (jrf). On the fourth landing, student attempted to lower the gear and got only nose and left main green indications. Crew requested visual from tower which stated it appeared right main gear was not down. Crew departed jrf airspace to troubleshoot the malfunction and perform emergency procedures with no correction to the malfunction. Crew then flew to hnl because that is where the flight school is located and performed an intentional gear up landing. Minor damage to belly rails and step. Propellers also struck the runway and were damaged.
