From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated during landing the wind was gusting approximately 20KTS from sse. After initial touch-down, the left wing dropped and was corrected by the pilot, followed by the right wing dropping and also corrected. The aircraft exited the runway to the left and onto the grass, approximately 100 feet from the initial touch-down. During the grass roll-out, the aircraft tipped left to the left causing the left wing to strike the struck the ground then tipped to the right causing the right wing tip to also strike the ground. The nose gear suffered structural failure. The engine was running during the final moments with the prop striking the ground. The left wing had substantial damage.
