From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On flight from mkg to ord, inbound for ord the PIC was attempting a short field landing aiming to touch down on the numbers in order to make an early exit off the runway.

Pilots were unaware of hitting a REIL light untill there was a video posted to www. Yourtube.com from a airplane spotter at the airport. Once the pilot heard of the video he called managment.

No damage was done to the aircraft. Aircraft was inspected and signed off by maintenacfe on 5/19/2023.

-Ord ATC likes them to come in best forward speed and wanted them to exit runway quickly - decisoin for shortfiel landing
