From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While on a local flight performing touch and gos, on third landing to full stop, the PIC landed runway 18. On roll out the PIC retracted flaps while the tailwheel transitioned to ground. A gust of wind caused the aircraft to drift right. The PIC lost steering control and exited the runway to the right. While off runway the aircraft was approaching a descending embankment and the PIC elected to actuate the brakes hard. The aircraft nosed over flipping on to its back. This resulted in substantial damaged to the aircraft left wing and vertcal stabilizer and rudder. There were no injuries to the two occupants.
