From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 7, 2023 at approximately 0816 EST, Orlando Sanford International Airport (ksfb), a flight school student was performing solo flight training. During touchdown on runway 27L, the aircraft experienced a wing lift attributed to a gust of wind. This resulted in the aircraft trending to the left which was not corrected by the pilot. The aircraft continued to turn left and into the grass east of taxiway S4. The aircraft continued back onto the taxiway and then to parking. No injuries were reported, no damage to the aircraft was found on post-incident inspection, and no damage to airport property was reported.
