From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 27, 2023 at approximately 1030 EDT, a Textron Aviation Inc. 208B landed uneventfully in the east river in New York via the north tip of the river. While taxing to the New York Skyports seaplane base (6N7), the pilot and co-pilot noted a large power boat drive by causing a large wake. The pilot positioned the aircraft 45 degrees into the wake but the proximity of the first and second wave were too close together causing the propeller to strike the water disabling the aircraft. No injuries were sustained by the crew members. The disabled aircraft was then towed to the privacy data omitted marina in bronx, NY.
