From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While approaching the downwind the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power, along with a temporary loss of instrumentation power. The pilot proceeded directly to the airport with a continued loss of engine power. As the pilot approached the runway at a right angle the pilot believed that landing in that direct would lead to a collision with buildings on the ground. The pilot attempted a right turn to align with runway 34. During that attempt the aircrafts right wing impacted with a taxiway, followed by the rest of the aircraft. The aircraft came to a stop in a grassy area in-between the runway and the taxiway. The aircrafts right wing had detached from the aircraft and broke into two pieces. The empennage also had sheared off completely due to the impact.
