From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While conducting crop spraying operations the pilot lost situational awareness during a turn around and came in on the wrong side of a tree line/hegde row than he was expecting to. Although he was aware of the power lines, being on the wrong side of the hedge row eliminated the visual cue he was anticipating to pull up at. By the time he recognized his mistake the power lines were right in front of him and he pulled up quickly and struck them with the aircraft underside/landing gear. The aircraft sustained minor damage and the pilot was able to return to the airport and land without further incident.

As the FAA filed it
