What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The privacy data omittedoperator of the aircraft has a private pilot rating for helicopter and a mechanic certificate.
The privacy data omitted of the aircraft, stated that with no intention to fly, taxied the aircraft from his hangar to the fuel farm. After receiving fuel from the fuel farm, he then taxied the aircraft back to his hangar. Once at the hangar he then mistakenly pulled throttle instead of slowing the engine. The brakes would not hold the aircraft and the aircraft accelerated down the hangar row, through two plastic road barriers and off the pavement and into the grass beyond the hangars. He then turned left in the grass to avoid the airfield fence on the right and hangars. Once he came to the last row of hangars, he then turned left again to get back on the hard pavement between the hangars to try and stop the aircraft. Before getting to the pavement the right MLG contacted a dirt pile which collapsed the right MLG. The aircraft was pulled to the right and the nose of the aircraft went through the hangar door and came to a stop.
The hangar door was damaged along with a golf cart inside.
Aircraft damage; propeller, r/h MLG, leading edge of left wing and the right wing. Also, the before mentioned road barriers were damaged.
