From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 28, 2023, a 2006 Cirrus SR22 departed for a solo, personal flight from thomasville regional airport (tvi), thomasville, ga enroute to Jacksonville executive airport at Craig (crg), Jacksonville, FL at approximately 1850 EDT. At approximately 1950 EDT, after touchdown at crg runway 32 (on roll-out), the pilot applied normal braking pressure and experienced a sudden loss of responsiveness/resistance in the left rudder/brake pedal. As the aircraft approached the end of runway 32, the aircraft momentum and insufficient braking function resulted in a runway excursion. The aircraft came to a stop towards the right of the pre-threshold pavement in the grass at the end of the runway. The aircraft was towed from the runway back to the ramp with no damage to the aircraft or airport property, and the pilot was uninjured.
