From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On October 7th, 2023, the operator landed on the grass parallel to runway 12 at Madera Municipal Airport (mae). The aircraft lost directional control and collided with the 1000FT marker during the landing. Despite the incident, the operator was able to taxi the aircraft to the hangar without further issues. Following this, the operator arranged for a visual inspection to be conducted by a local repair facility. The inspection revealed damage to the fairing of the right landing gear, the right lower wing tip, and a hole that went through the fabric and came out at the top (right lower wing, inboard trailing edge). No injuries reported.
