From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 12/6/2023 at 10:44 am, a Remos departing from Taylor crashed on takeoff, landing inverted halfway down the runway and seriously injuring the pilot. Photos from the scene show evidence of frost on the airframe, which was corroborated by a witness who did not witness the crash, but saw the a/c taxi with frost "all over the place". The temperature data at the time of the crash was reported -3 celsius.

A post-crash examination did not reveal evidence of any system or flight control failure which would have contributed to the accident.
