From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Took off from ksfb at about 14:10 from runway 27C and got handed off to orlando approach. About 15NM south-west of ksfb we requested 7,000FT. Crossing 5,000FT, we heard a loud bang and tried to figure out what it was. Close inspection of the wing in the air concluded that we had a bird strike. We informed orlando approach and proceeded to Titusville airport (ktix). The aircraft sustained, dent and crack to right wing leading edge damage.
