From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

3/24/24...The pilot began the before takeoff check list some time around 12:40 CST...after checking for traffic and accomplishing all check list, the pilot began their takeoff on rwy 11 ...the aircraft seemed to produce normal power through the t/o roll according to the pilot... But began to lose power after 300-400 ft above the ground...the airspeed began to decay...in order to avoid a stall, the pilot lowered the nose and picked a clearing basically straight ahead... The aircraft struck a pine tree and came to rest in a clearing upside down....the pilot exited the aircraft with minor injuries.
