From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot and passenger refueled the aircraft, and the pilot started aircraft and performed a preflight check. Aircraft departed runway (a grass field with a downhill decline) and flew around the local area for approxamately 30 minutes. The aircraft returned to runway, the pilot applied brakes and the aircraft veered left off the runway and hit a utility trailer. The propeller struck the trailer and the trailer embedded itself into the belly of the aircraft. There was damage to the propeller, right wing strut, landing gear and the underside of the fuselage.
