From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During landing on runway 8L at mia, the SIC was pilot flying (pf) and the PIC was pilot monitoring (pm). Winds were from the se at 7-10 KTS. The pf attempted to correct for crosswind using ailerons rather than rudder. The plane rolled right, and then the pf corrected, cuasing the plane to roll left. The pf called for a go around. The pic/pm did not believe that a go around was safe, took control of the aircraft, and landed the plane. Neither pilot realized the aircraft wingtips had made contact with the ground during the landing until it was discovered later on a walk around on may 7th.

As the FAA filed it
