Aircraft PA-22-150 privacy data omittedtook off from nampa airport to Emmett S78. Aircraft toched down on centerline. Pilot reported a severe tail wheel shimmy and raised tail. Pilot lowered tail aircarft experianced a severe tail wheel shimmy. Left gear collapsed resultind a prop strike and substantial damage to the left wing and lower tail area. Photos reveiled a bad weld left main landing gear leg . STC was complted in 1976
