From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Following this investigation, I did not identify any regulatory violations or pilot proficiency issues as causal factors that contributed to this accident. Per NTSB request, a maintenance inspector, operators mechanic, and myself looked at the aircraft to verify the parking brake handle issue the pilot had questioned' the parking brake handle had some binding when you tried to pull and/or reset the handle. When the parking brake was set and you twisted to release the handle, the handle would not reset all the way in, therefore not releasing all the presure. We verified with a similar make/model aircraft and found that the parking brake handle pulled/reset normally with no noticable binding. Both left and right brake appeared locked after touchdown with correlated tire wear. Gave reqested informaton to NTSB for their investigation.
