From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot noticed a burning smell accompanied by high temperatures and landed on a ridge top, the closest emergency landing area. The pilot performed an extended ground run up, satisfied that he could depart to a safer destination. The pilot shut down the aircraft walked only about 20 feet of the departure area. On departure, approximately halfway down take off roll, he encountered a hole and rock that jammed the right tire pitching the aircraft onto the prop and left wing. The aircraft came to rest inverted.
