From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Instructor and student were practicing landings at Buckeye airpark. The first landing was normal with no issues. The second landing was slightly left of the centerline. After the nose touched down the aircraft started drifting to the left. The flight instructor took control, the speed was 60 knots and slowing, so the instructor elected to remain on the ground. The instructor could not correct the direction of travel prior to leaving the pavement. The aircraft came to rest between the runway and the taxiway in the dirt after striking a taxiway light.
