From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 20, 2024 the aircraft was performing aerobatic practice and elected to stop at the 6B6 airport for fuel prior to returning to their home base of bed. On approach to runway 21 the pilot drifted to the right of the centerline. The pilot conducted a go-around. During the go-around the right wing struck a runway light causing minor damage to the underside of the right wing and puncturing the fuel tank. The pilot returned to bed citing better emergency equipment. The pilot landed and taxied to their hanagar and ordered fuel. When fueling the right wing it was noted that fuel was leaking from the wing, bed operations and the roc were notified at this time.
