From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While conducting agriculture operations, the landing gear struck the top, grounding wire of a set of high-tension power lines. The cable tangled in the left main gear, resulting in the airplane contacting the ground approximately 500 feet east of the power lines. The impact area indicated a low angle and low velocity. The debris path was on a heading of 063 degrees that extended approximately 120 feet. The tension applied to the attached cable pulled the fuselage, empennage, left landing gear, and left wing 72 feet in a 243 degree direction.

As the FAA filed it
