From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that upon departure from kosh with 30-32 gallons of fuel and after a 5 minute taxi, he planned on burning 10 gph of fuel to his next fuel stop at kcht. While flying at an altitude of 4,500 MSL and approximately 27 NM from kcht, the engine stopped running. The pilot began looking for a suitable place to land and found a cornfield that looked flat enough to land on. Upon completing an emergency landing the corn, the aircraft rolled out approximately 30 yards into the corn field before coming to a complete stop.
