What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The remote pilot had just completed spraying a field and was having the UAS conduct an autoland squence on autopilot. The UAS slowed down and entered a hover. The UAS then abruptly flew approximately 20 feet in a straight line and collided with a person. The person was transported to the hospital and treated for a fractured shoulder bone. The injured person was released the same day. The UAS sustained a broken propeller with an estimated replacement cost of $100. The remote pilot did not hold a current FAA medical certificate.
