What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
According to the pilot he touched down within the touchdown zone and while he slowly pressed the brakes he realized the aircraft was not slowing down as he had expected. He initiated a go-around and attempted to take off again, however, the aircraft failed to gain sufficient lift during departure. As the pilot retracted the landing gear, the aircraft clipped the top of the perimeter fence and came to rest in the field adjacent to the runway. The pilot believes the propeller may have been damaged during the process.
