From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC experienced a partial power loss while flying over the dry riverbed near Fillmore, CA. He decided to make a precautionary landing before the engine totally lost all power and while he was flying over some open areas where he could make a safe landing in his stol airplane. The landing went well but as he was slowing to a stop the wheels rolled into some soft dirt and the airplane tipped forward on its nose which caused damage to one blade only. There was no other damage to the airplane only the one propeller blade.
