From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During a post maintenance test flight, the pilot returned to the airport and landed. Pilot then taxied to runway 8 at 57C, performed a ground run-up, switched fuel selector to the fullest tank, left, and departed. During rotation and at approximately 300 feet AGL, engine power and fuel pressure decreased. Pilot turned right and performed an emergency landing into a corn field approximately 1.5 miles south of the airport. The aircraft received substantial damage and pilot was uninjured.
