From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The student pilot while attempting a touch and G0, moved the landing gear lever to the up position believing he was retracting the flaps. The instructor realizing the mistake put the gear lever in the down position. The right main had already collapsed causing the aircraft to drift off the runway. The damage to the aircraft was minor. The pilots and passenger did not sustain injuries.

Aircraft records were reviewed and found to have proper aircraft certification and current inspection status. Pilot records were reviewed and found to have the correct certification.
