From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was on a day VFR flight dispensing agricultural chemicals. After returning from the third agricultural chemical load. The pilot stated the aircraft lost power and the aircraft descended into the trees. The pilot also stated he did not recall fueling the aircraft before the start of the third load. There was an auto accident on interstate 40 next to the runway that distracted the pilot during the aircraft service turn around.

The fuel tank cover was removed and there was no liquid fuel in the tank. The fuel tank was intact and not had been breeched. The gascalator contained only about 4 ounces of blue fuel and was clear and bright. No fuel smell or stains outside of the aircraft.
