From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During a "14 CFR 137 flight, day VFR flight, the pilot was returning to re-fill chemicals near Moffett, OK. The pilot stated that at approximately 1330 CDT, he landed on a dirt strip as normal then felt the tail end of the aircraft bottom out. Afterwards, he reported there was no rudder control due to the tailwheel assembly having been fractured. It was later determined that a bolt that keeps the tail wheel swivel caster straight had sheared. After veering to the right and ground looping into vegetation, the left wing tip was damaged. No mechanical anomalies were reported by the pilot prior to landing. No injuries were reported during the aircraft accident.
