From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On Saturday October 5th at approximately 1330 hours a student and instructor performed three touch and go landings in preparation for the student's first solo flight. Once completing the third landing they taxied back to parking. The student and instructor discussed the upcoming solo flight, and the instructor signed the student's logbook and sent the student out for a solo flight. The student performed their solo flight and returned to parking. Upon return the student noted he felt a pull during takeoff after his touch and go. The instructor checked the aircraft for the source of the pull. Upon inspection the instructor noted damage to the belly and left hand horizontal stabilized leading edge.
