From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On October 10, 2024, at 1915 EDT, privacy data omitted, an experimental amateur-built model Wright B Flyer Inc, serial number 003, privacy data omitted, had a loss of propeller thrust during takeoff from Wright Patterson airforce base (ffo), Dayton, Ohio, while on a local pleasure flight. The aircraft made a forced landing in a field adjacent to the runway. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and a VFR flight plan was not filed. The aircraft was not damaged during the landing. The pilot was not injured. Investigation revealed a failure of the propellers drive spocket to be the cause of propeller loss of thrust.
