From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot attempted an IFR approach down to minimums in known icing conditions and landed short of the runway and off centerline. Aircraft impacted the ground before the approach end of runway collapsing the landing gear and shearing off all propeller blades from both engines. Evidence of moderate to severe icing build-up on all leading edges of wings, horizontal stablizer, vertical stablizer, antenna, and propeller nose cones. Pilot reported both engines lost power just before impact. Accident statement details requested by iic of all phases of the flight were responded back with minimal basic information. This report will be amended at a future date if additional information is discovered.
