From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft repositioned from kfxe to kopf. After landing 9L at kopf, aircraft taxied to privacy data omitted located at the south end of the airport for passenger pick up. After loading passenger, the aircraft repositioned from privacy data omittedto runway 9L and held short. During this time, they requested to perform the anti-ice system check as required. This required engines to be throttled to 40% until aircraft removes "cold" message and no "hot" or "leak" messages are shown. After receiving the tower release for departure. Smoke was noticed from the left side. This make and model aircraft is not equipped with a brake temp warning system. Tower was called for firefighting assistance and the aircraft was evacuated successfully with no injuries. No known maintenance condition was present, suspect brake overheat.
