From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated, prior to landing, he extended the landing gear and confirmed the gear was down and locked as indicated in the garmin G3X system.

After touchdown, he felt abnormal vibrations and a loss of directional control. The plane continued in an uncontrolled slide and drifted left until coming to a complete stop at the left edge of the runway.

A post accident inspection was conducted. The nosewheel was entirely sheered off at the level of the metal fork. The nose strut remained intact and in the down and locked position. Both main gears were retracted to the ground level.

The aircraft received substantial damage. No injuries reported.
