From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On March 1, 2025, approximately 1300 local time, during the first flight of the day, the PIC stated that he was traveling from lincoln village airpark, AK to Wasilla Airport, AK to refuel his aircraft prior to heading to wolf lake airport. During the short and final approach to runway 4 at approximately 150 ft, the engine shut off with no warning. The prop was still windmilling. PIC quickly set full flaps and pulled the yoke full back and guided the aircraft down. The initial touchdown was hard and the aircraft bounced in the air again, the PIC lost control and crash landed into an ice berm/ditch approximately three hundred yards short of the runway.
