From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot of a Beechcraft C99 attempted to takeoff from O'Neill, Nebraska (konl) for a part 135 cargo flight to norfolk, Nebraska (kofk) on March 6, 2025, at approximately 8:00 pm CST. There was light snow at the time with a 9 knot wind from 060 degrees and wet snow was present on the runway.

During takeoff roll from runway 31, at approximately 50 knots of speed, the aircraft began drifting left of the runway centerline. The pilot attempted to maintain directional control of the aircraft by reducing engine power and application of oposite rudder. The aircraft continued to drift left, then the left main wheel contacted piled up snow at the edge of the runway before the aircraft entered the grass between runway 31 and taxiway alpha. The aircraft came to a stop in the grass approximately 1000 to 2000 feet from the point of departure. The pilot was the only person on board and was not injured. The aircraft sustained damage to one propeller blade on the left engine due to striking a runway light.
