From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 03/07/2025 @ 19:10 local time the aircraft suffered a hard landing on runway 34 at Redding airport (rdd). From examination of the accident scene on 03/25/25, the aircraft made initial contact with runway 34 approximatley 35FT to the left side of the centerline and down the runway approximatley 1250FT from the end of the threshold lines. The aircraft then rebounded for approximatley 150FT and struck the runway a second time at the end of the first 500 ft marker skidding approximately 350FT to rest on the left side of the runway. Marks left on the runway indicate that the nosewheel partially collapsed on initial impact and completely collapsed on secondary impact leading to the propeller striking the ground. The pilot stated that he maintained a stabilized approach, but at about 200 feet above the runway he experienced windshear causing a loss of control of the aircraft.

As the FAA filed it
