From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft privacy data omitted while picking up passengers at kind, took on too much fuel during refuel operations, which put the aircraft in an overweight condition. The pilot planned to burn off excess fuel while taxiing by applying the brakes and adding additional power to the engines. While preparing for final takeoff, smoke was noticed coming from below the left wing. The pilot in command initiated an emergency shutdown, and the pilots and passengers evacuated the aircraft. Emergency crews responded and extinguished a small fire that has started near the left brake.
