From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot has over 28 years of accident and incident free employment at the carrier. Taxiing to the runway was uneventful until he saw the barricade at the last minute. Actions to stop before contact with the barrier were too late and the aircraft struck the barricade with the tips of the props. Pilot reversed taxi using beta (reverse) on an active taxiway with no spotters, and continued to the hold short line of the active runway. Pilot stated he "heard a thump", checked his engine instruments for anything out of the ordinary, and elected to continue the flight and departed fll for mth. At mth, pilot was notified to call the FAA, also called the company, did a post flight exterior inspection and discovered the damage to the tips of the props. Aircraft removed from service for inspection - pilot removed from line flying pending investigation.
